Dr. Leung was raised in NJ but was initially a native of Bayside, Queens. He completed his undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering at Rutgers University. He proceeded to work in the pharmaceutical industry to do research in bone biology where he discovered his passion for orthopedic surgery. He returned to Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School where he received his Medical Degree. Dr. Leung completed his Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at the University of Chicago and finished his fellowship training in Robotic Hip and Knee Replacement at Holy Cross Hospital.
Dr. Leung specializes in hip and knee arthroplasty which allows patients with disabling arthritis to return to an active lifestyle. He has trained extensively in performing hip replacements from both anterior and posterior approaches, in addition to partial and total knee replacements. Dr. Leung’s fellowship allowed him to work with leaders in the field of hip and knee replacements with a strong focus on the use of cutting edge technology. He is well versed in the use of robotics and sensors in which research has demonstrated to improve patient's recovery. He is committed to staying on the forefront of orthopedics in order to provide patients with the best experience. He prides himself on listening closely to each patient, providing a thorough consultation, and personalizing treatments to their individual needs.
During his free time, Dr. Leung enjoys the outdoors and loves hiking with his family. He also enjoys the challenge of endurance sports and has competed in a number of triathlons and marathons.
